In Gurbilas Patshahi Chhevi (1718), Guru Hargobind is asked by Bhai Jetha whether he will write Bani and the response prophesizes Guru Tegh Bahadur's Shahidi before including a portion describing how Guru Gobind Singh reacted when all the Sikhs in Delhi stayed quiet after Guru Tegh Bahadur's execution, the Guru powerfully proclaimed:
"I will create such a Panth that amongst thousands they won't be hidden. I will place such a stamp on their heads *that they will stand out*, like a tiger roaming amongst jackals."
Such was said by the lotus-like mouth of the Tenth Guru, and He did create such a Panth which encircled and killed the Turks.
Then the Guru *after creating the Khalsa* would go Malwa and create a Kanshi *learning institution* there, which he placed the name Damdama Sahib, which would radiate liberation and material wealth.
There the Guru would recite the Adi *Guru* Granth, including the Bani of the Ninth Guru, a total of 59 *shabads in raags* and 57 *saloks*, which by reading dispassion arises, leading to a disdain of the world.
Damdama Sahib will be equal to Kanshi *Banaras*, dispelling all pain, and a great number of intellectually pure and sharp scribes will be trained. The Damdami Bir will become known across the world, and those who write and read it will not born again.
*Guru Hargobind responding to Jetha says* "Your request to me that I should write Gurbani, I will write when I manifest in the Ninth Guru (finalizing [[Adi Guru Granth Sahib/Adi]] Guru Granth) . A second Granth will also be written in Chhand metres, which shall be known as [[Dasam Guru Granth Sahib/Dasam]] Guru Granth.
