The Gurbilas is a genre of historical narration on the Gurus. There are three main texts from the 18th century, listed below. The Gurbilas Patshahi Dasvi section has both quotes from the earlier Kuir Singh version of 1751 and Sukha Singh's 1797. Julie Vig (2020) has completed significant research on this subject, building off the research from Anne Murphy and Purnima Dhavan. These texts spring out of the *vilāsa* literature, narration of kings, there are notable Rajput vilāsa texts like the *Rājvilāsa* related to Raja Raj Singh of Mewar (r. 1652-1680) written in the late 17th century. ## About Gurbilas Patshahi Chevin ![[1718 Gurbilas Patshahi Chevi/About - Gurbilas Patshahi Chevin|About - Gurbilas Patshahi Chevin]] ## About Gurbilas Patshahi Dasvi ![[Gurbilas Patshahi Dasvi|Gurbilas Patshahi Dasvi]]
