ਜਾਹਿ ਨਿਮਿੱਤ ਤਪੇ ਤਪ ਸਾਧਤ ਨਾਰਦ ਸਾਰਦ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
That One, who countless sages do endless austerities for, and who Narad and Saraswati both could not find the limit to.
ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਔ ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨ ਜੂ ਬਹੁ ਪਾਠ ਪੜ੍ਹਯੋ ਕਛੁ ਹਾਥ ਨ ਆਯੋ ॥
The respected Shiva and Brahma who both read endless prayers; they have not come to grasp That One.
ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਹਾਰ ਪਰੇ ਨਿਤ ਨੇਤਿ ਹੀ ਨੇਤਿ ਸਭੈ ਮੁਨਿ ਗਾਯੋ ॥
People have always failed after searching and searching for That One's limit, but in the end the Muni's just recite, 'There is no End Here! There is no End There!'
ਸੋ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਰਿ ਆਜੁ ਸੁਭਾਗ ਜਗੇ ਸਿਖ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਗਹਾਯੋ ॥88॥
Today these Sikhs, whose good fortunes have manifested, have grasped That One, the Guru Hargobind Sahib, with love; instilling the Guru's lotus feet within their heart.
