After the Devi departs from Naina Devi, Koer Singh has the gods come to give Guru Gobind Singh their own strength — and, with it, the Khalsa's form: Brahma, Mahesh, all of them, Moon and Sun came and sang the Guru's glory. Each gave his own strength: Hanuman gave the kachhera, giver of ease; Vishnu gave the form of the kes; then the Mother of the world herself gave the weapons. Such became the Guru Khalsa's form then that sun and moon, beholding it, were amazed. [[Gurbilas Patshahi Dasvi]] (1751), author: Koer Singh Chapter 8, page 101, Ashok ed. [[Gurbilas]]
