At Naina Devi, Guru Gobind Singh's petition to the Goddess. After listing the demons she has slain, he specifies which form of herself he wants — the *turīya*, beyond the three gunas: ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਯ ਸਦਾ ਜਗ ਮਾਯ, ਅਹੋ ਬਰ ਦਾਯ ਰਖੋ ਜਨ ਲਾਜਾ । ਮੋ ਮਨ ਵਾਂਛਿਤ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਰੋ ਅਬ ਤੁਰਕਨ ਨਾਸ ਕਰੋ ਜਗ ਰਾਜਾ । ਧਯਾਨ ਧਰੋ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ, ਜੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਅਖੰਡ ਮਹਾਂ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਜਾ । ਰਜ ਤਮ ਪਰੇ ਸਤ ਜੋ ਤੁਰੀਯਾ, ਤਿਹ ਰੂਪ ਰਹੋ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਕਾਜਾ ॥੪੦॥ "Helper of sants, ever Mother of the world, O boon-giver, keep your servant's honour. Make my Sikhs as my mind desires; now destroy the Turks, Queen of the world. I hold your meditation in my mind — that form which is undivided, made of great bliss; beyond rajas, tamas and sattva, the turīya — in that form abide, for the work of my mind." ਖਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਕਰੋ ਲਖ ਸਤ੍ਰੁਨ ਸੰਗਰ ਏਕ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੈ । ਸੂਰਨ ਬੀਰਨ ਮੀਰਨ ਜੀਤ ਕੈ, ਭੂਮਿ ਸਭੈ ਨਿਜ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਚਾਵੈ । ਗੋ ਵਿਪ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੇ ਰਿਪੁ ਕੋ ਗਹਿ ਪਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਸੋ ਮਾਰ ਗਵਾਵੈ ॥੪੨॥ "Make the Khalsa Panth shine, so that one may stand in battle against a lakh of enemies; conquering heroes, warriors and mirs, make all the land its own; and seizing the kirpan in hand, slay the enemies of cow, Brahman and sant."
