ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋ ਭਾਣਾ ਮਾਨੈਗੋ, ਤਿਸੀ ਤੇ ਹੁੳਮੈ ਛੁਟੈਗੀ । ਜੋ ਹਉਮੈ ਕੋ ਤਜੈਗਾ ਸੋ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੋ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਇਗੋ । ਭਾਣਾ ਮਾਨੈ ਬਿਨਾ ਅਰ ਹਉਮੈ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤਾ । That person who accepts the will of the Supreme Lord, from that process, one is freed from ego. That person who renounces their ego will become capable/worthy [adhikārī] of meditating on the Divine Name. Without accepting the Divine Will and without renouncing ego, one is not capable/worthy to engage in remembrance of the Divine Name. ਇਸ ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਕੋ : Regarding this, The Exalted Guru Granth Sahib provides evidence: **ਹਉਮੈ ਨਾਵੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਵਿਰੋਧੁ ਹੈ ਦੁਇ ਨ ਵਸਹਿ ਇਕ ਠਾਇ ।** **There is opposition between Ego & the Divine Name, both do not reside together in one place. - Guru Granth Sahib: Vadhans, M3, 560.
