ਥਲ ਕਛਾਰ ਕੋ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਆਵਾ । ਖਿਲਤਿ ਅਖੇਰ ਤਹਾ ਮਨ ਭਾਵਾ ।
ਆਮਿਖ ਪਾਵਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੇਰੇ । ਹਤੇ ਹੇਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਫਿਰ ਤਿਸ ਬੇਰੇ । ੭ ।
Guru Tegh Bahadur and his warriors came across a beautiful marsh, where they engaged in hunting to their fullest desire. Searching for animals worth hunting *pure animals like deer and game birds*, they saw some and killed them circling around the marsh.
ਮ੍ਰਿਗਨਿ ਬਿਹੰਗਨਿ ਕੋ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ। ਗਮਨੇ ਖੇਲਤਿ ਪੰਥ ਸਿ਼ਕਾਰ ।
ਆਮਿਖ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਸਭਿ ਲੀਨਿ। ਨਿਜ ਬਾਜੀ ਸੰਗ ਬਾਂਧਨ ਕੀਨਿ ।੮।
They killed deer and birds, they continued to hunt this way as they traveled along. They had cut the meat of the animals into strips and all the warriors had hung the pieces of meat from the saddles of their horses.
ਇਮ ਬਹੁ ਸੁਭਟ ਸੰਗ ਗੁਰੁ ਚਾਲਤਿ । ਕਰਤਿ ਅਖੇਰ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਨਿ ਕੋ ਭਾਲਤਿ ।
In this way the Guru Tegh Bahadur traveled along with many of his warriors, partaking in hunting, looking for deer.
