Completed in 1843 by the renown poet Santokh Singh (1787-1843), this voluminous epic styled historical narrative is the longest single work in Sikh literary tradition. It covers the history of Guru Nanak to Guru Gobind Singh in Brajbhasha poetic meter, and since its inception has been considered the gold standard of Sikh historical narrative.
