The esteemed historian Giani Gian Singh *1822-1921* recounts Guru Gobind Singh's afternoon routine in Anandpur Sahib below: 142। After eating lunch the Guru would nap and awake in the early afternoon. Consuming opium and a cannabis drink, the Guru would mount his horse, alongside with his warriors. 143। They would ride out to the riverbanks of the Satluj river, near a grove they would bathe in the shallow river. Laughing and chatting about all sorts of things while adorning themselves with weapons and new clean clothes. 144। They would then *come back to Anandpur* and join the congregation, bestowing great happiness to his Sikhs. Whichever foreign scholar had come to Anandpur, the Guru then listened to their knowledge before giving them great respect and charity. 145। Following this they would drench themselves in the delight of listening to previous stories of righteous warfare *dharamyudh* sung by the Dhadhis. The Guru would send them off after giving countless patronage to the Dhadhis, who had arisen the desire to warfare in all the listeners. Naveen [[1880 Panth Prakash Giani Gian Singh/Panth Prakash]] (1880) CE*, Volume 3, page 1485, author: Giani Gian Singh ![[p10 new new new.jpg]]
