Money and Land In Guru Gobind Singh's Bachittar Natak (the Wondrous Play), amidst recounting tales of internal conflict amongst his ancestors, he pauses to reflect on the broader causes of war: Conflict over money and land is age-old, They have besieged and devastated the globe Spread through arrogance and attachment, Desire and anger have overwhelmed the whole world. We should say to Wealth - "Blessed, blessed!" The entire world is its slave Everyone places their gaze on it while roaming They all journey to salute it.
