The photo below is from the beautiful region of Nahan, where Guru Gobind Singh spent around four years, at the foothills of the Himalayas. ![[NAHAN.jpg]] Guru Gobind Singh spent four years here, establishing his residence and fort at [Paonta Sahib](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paonta_Sahib) which he mentions several times within his writings, notably finishing his Krishnavatar text alongside the Yamuna river: ਸਤ੍ਰਹ ਸੈ ਪੈਤਾਲਿ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਵਨ ਸੁਦਿ ਥਿਤਿ ਦੀਪ ॥ In the year 1745, on the seventh day of the waxing moon. ਨਗਰ ਪਾਵਟਾ ਸੁਭ ਕਰਨ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਬਹੈ ਸਮੀਪ ॥੨੪੯੦॥ Sitting beside the Yamuna river, in the city of Paonta, auspicious task (the writing of Krishnavatar) was completed.
