ਜੱਗ ਜਾਪੁ ਨ ਜਜਨ ਪੂਜਾ ਸੇਵ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਨਹਿ ਭਜ੍ਯੋ ॥ ⁣ I have not performed any selfless service, conducted feasts for the needy, meditated or worshipped upon the Divine. ⁣ ⁣ ਇਸਨਾਨ ਦਾਨ ਨ ਪੁੰਨ ਤਾਪਨ ਬੇਦ ਮਰਜਾਦਾ ਤਜ੍ਯੋ ॥⁣ I have not practing bathing, charity, good deeds, penance, and I have forsaken the prescriptions of the Vedas. ⁣ ⁣ ਅਪਕਰਮ ਨਿਸਦਿਨ ਕਮਾਵਤਿ ਨਿੱਤ ਕਰਤ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਨਿੰਦ ਹੇ ॥⁣ I continually accumulate sins, my daily practice is violence and slandering. ⁣ ⁣ ਹਮ ਪਾਪਕਰਮਾ ਜੰਤੁ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੁਮ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਗੁਬਿੰਦ ਹੇ ॥ ⁣ We are the people that commit sins, and Oh Gobind, you are the redeemer of the sinners! ⁣ ⁣ ਜਸ ਕਰੀ ਰਖ੍ਯਾ ਆਦਿ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਉਪਕਰੈ ਕਰ ਛੋਹ ਜੂ ॥ ⁣ From the beginning of time people have praised you for being the Protector, you love your devotees and save them! ⁣ ⁣ ਦਾਸ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਫਤਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਰਖ ਲੇਹੁ ਹੇ ਸਰਬਲੋਹ ਜੂ ॥⁣ The servant Gobind says, Victory is always Satuguru's, oh Sarbloh please save me! ⁣ ⁣ [[Sarbloh Guru Granth Sahib/Sarbloh|Sarbloh]] Granth, Vol II, page 267.⁣ Author: Guru Gobind Singh Photo: The Toor Collection ![[das gobind.png]]
