*1769 · Kesar Singh Chibbar*
Written in 1769 by Kesar Singh Chibbar, this historical narrative treats the ten Gurus while focusing on the genealogical development of their lineages. The author's family had special access to the Guru's inner circles — the Chibbars were courtiers in the courts of Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh — and at one point he reflects on his time as a young child in the court of Mata Sahib Devan in Delhi. Though the text is rather brief, it offers important information on the history of the Sikh Gurus and the tradition.
