# Gur Panth Prakash *c. 1809 · Ratan Singh Bhangu* Written around 1809 by Ratan Singh Bhangu, the *Sri Gur Panth Prakash* is one of the foundational histories of the Khalsa Panth — a narration of the community's rise, composed to record the Panth's own account of its past. Bhangu came from a family of Sikh warriors, and his telling carries the memory of that world. It would later be reworked and expanded by Giani Gian Singh in his own *Panth Prakash* of 1880. ## In this text - [[Why the Khalsa was Victorious]] - [[Dhavan's 2009 Article on Bhangu]]
